I work as an Assistant Professor for the Spanish Department at Universidad de Concepción (UDEC), Chile. In 2016 I completed a doctorate in experimental phonetics (PhD Speech, Hearing and Phonetic Sciences) at University College London (UCL).

Before that, I studied an undergraduate degree and got a professional habilitation as a Spanish Literature and Linguistics Teacher in 2008, and finished my first MA in Linguistics in 2011, both at UDEC. From that time onwards I have been a member of the Phonetics Laboratory. Later, during 2012, I completed another MA in linguistics at the Laboratorio de Fonética, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
